Dhanook is a retired teacher. He attended the University of Western Ontario and the University of British Columbia, where he earned several science-related and education degrees, including a Master of Arts in Education.
As a lifelong learner, he has done many years of personal growth work, including Landmark, Partners on Purpose, the John Gotman marriage workshop, the Sterling Men’s weekend, Arka Brotherhood, Meditation Retreats, and many more. He is currently a co-captain of an Arka Men’s squad and volunteers on the Nanaimo-Ladysmith Schools Foundation and Nanaimo Men’s Center Board of Directors.
Growing up in colonial Guyana with deep Indian roots, he has cultivated and integrated both an eastern and a western outlook. Dhanook has published a book of poems, is a committed gardener, an avid outdoorsman, and a naturalist with a deep connection to wilderness and adventures.
His coaching practice specializes in divorce recovery/conscious uncoupling, and guidance for men. He helps you navigate the often difficult journey of divorce/ uncoupling, offering personalized sessions to foster mindfulness, ownership, clarity, emotional resilience, effective communication skills, and personal growth.
