Jamie Light Legacy Fund

Jamie  was a quiet and humble geologist who worked hard to sustain his family. He also stepped into leadership to take care of his international team and the many villages they worked in. Jamie believed in building the local community, He knew it was important to buy local, and support those nearest to his work. He had the rare gift of seeing people's gifts and helping them succeed in life and in the many amazing projects he consulted and helped build.

What most would know is that he, like many other thousands of men, struggled with physical and emotional health. He worried constantly about how he could provide for his family and could not find any place to support his needs as a man. The intention of his legacy is to honor him and the many other fathers and men who need help from counseling and fellowship, to court and legal matters.

Fred & Rose have chosen The Nanaimo Men's Centre to honor him. It is a rare place that exists to address and support men like Jamie, recognizing there is a gap in social support for men's issues. We are delighted to be a recipient of annual support from the Jamie Light Foundation and create this legacy fund to make more opportunities for men to find fellowship, meaningful support and build better families and communities.
