Ipswa: Your Guide to Healing and Growth at the Men's Centre
Located on the unceded territory of the Snuneymuxw People, the Men's Centre is a safe and supportive space for men seeking guidance and healing.
As a CPCA registered counsellor, I offer a unique blend of traditional wisdom and modern therapeutic approaches to help you navigate life's challenges.
My Approach
I am a grandfather to many and a practicing professional with over 40 years of experience. My approach is rooted in Fierce-Light – a way of living and working that embraces vulnerability, compassion, and social activism. I believe in co-creating a world of inclusion and connection, where all men feel seen, heard, and valued.

- Legal (custody and employment)
- Community Navigation
- Indigenous and New Canadians
- Relationships (couples, families teens parent alienation)
- Men's Rites of Passage

- Clear Beliefs

At the Men's Centre, I am dedicated to providing a safe, non-judgmental, and culturally sensitive space where you can explore your challenges, discover your strengths, and create lasting change. I am here to support you on your journey toward healing, growth, and transformation.
When I'm not working with clients, you can find me paddling tribal canoes with my grandkids and extended community, building community housing, or tackling oddball construction projects. My trusty support dog/guide dog, Loki, is always by my side, offering unconditional love and a wagging tail to everyone he meets. He also takes food offering.

Finding the right support person for your one-on-one session is crucial for a successful and meaningful experience.
Each of our team members brings unique skills and perspectives, but not everyone is the perfect match for every individual. We encourage you to use your first session as an opportunity to explore whether your chosen supporter is the right fit for your needs and goals.
Additionally, we've found that shared experiences can often lead to a deeper understanding and connection. As you review information about our staff, look for clues that they may have walked a similar path as you. This shared understanding can be a powerful foundation for growth and healing.
